But first, the bad news:

1. Marriage is hard.

It's easy to feel stuck when your marriage isn't where you hoped it would be by now. And it get's worse if loneliness, depression, anxiety, or addiction creeps in.

2. Communication issues are symptoms.

Relationship conflicts start in our hearts. Communication "issues" are just fire alarms, letting us know there's a deeper problem. If your marriage is struggling, chances are the alarms have been going off for so long that you no longer notice them.

They're warnings, symptoms of a deeper problem, telling you that something needs attention if you want to reach your full potential.

3. You can't stop the train.

The beliefs you have, the wounds you have, the desires you have, all play an important role in the words and actions that you make throughout every day. 

Every choice. Every day.

There are no "special days".

Now the good news:

4. It's only hard because you're hungry for more.

If you were satisfied with your life, it would be easy, right? It's only hard because you know there's more, you know there's better, and you want it. If you didn't think marriage was hard, we would say you're not hungry enough to be helped.

Every person reading this has the strength and the ability to succeed. But you also have voices telling you why you can't, right? The question is, which voices will you belive? What will you say to the voices telling you that you're not good enough? What will you say to the voices telling you that you're not strong enough? What will you say to the voices telling you that you don't deserve better?

When you've got the hunger and the curiousity, what else do you need?

5. God has the power.

The way we most often give up on God is by believing that he can't help us or that he won't help us. Which is it for you? Do you believe that God knows you and has the power to heal you from the inside out? Do you believe that God wants to heal you? That he wants more for you? God created each one of us with the capacity to love and be loved. We were made for intimacy, purpose, and connection.

6. You're moments away.
